Dear Parent/Carer,
START OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS FOR STUDENTS RETURNING IN SEPTEMBER 2023
As we move towards the summer holidays, we wanted to update you on our plans for the end of the school term and the return of students in September. The last day of the school term is Friday 21 July. This will be a half day and we would like to use this opportunity to celebrate the diverse culture across our school, building on last year’s very successful event. Therefore, we expect students to attend on Friday 21 July in smart clothing or traditional cultural dress. Your children will be prepared for this via tutor time and whole year group assemblies. School will close at 12.15 on the last day of term.
Keeping You Up-to-Date
The home page on our school website is continually updated, so please check this page regularly for the latest information. It includes a link to the information in this letter.
School Uniform – Year 8-11
There is information about the purchase of school uniform for next academic year on the school website. You can access this through the following website menu route ‘About the Academy/School Information/School Uniform’. This section contains downloadable documents including information about our uniform requirements for September, our school shoe brochure and further details about the purchase process through our new uniform supplier, Michael Sehgal & Sons Ltd. We are always looking to increase our stocks of pre-owned uniform to support families with uniform purchase costs. We will be offering a drop off opportunity for students at school for any washed and ironed pre-owned items of uniform no longer needed in good re-usable condition (particularly coats, trousers, skirts and shoes) on Friday 21 July (our non-uniform half day).
School Magazine
You can also access the latest packed edition of our school magazine, ‘Parklife’, from the home page of our website.
We would like to wish you a relaxing and enjoyable summer holiday with your family and look forward to welcoming our students back after the break.
Yours faithfully,
Steve Campbell
Principal
