Sixth Form Open Evening – Wednesday 6th December 2023
As your child, along with the rest of Year 11 students, works towards their final GCSE exams, it is also a time to start exploring the exciting opportunities available after Year 11. Amongst the opportunities on offer is joining our Sixth Form.
All parents, carers and students are invited to attend our Sixth Form Open Evening to learn more information about the transition to Sixth Form.
The Open Evening is an excellent opportunity to obtain more information about the subjects we intend to offer in 2024-2025. It is also the chance to meet teaching staff from across all subject areas and to find out about the student support we have in place to support student success in Sixth Form. In addition, copies of the new Sixth Form prospectus will be made available on the evening.
We hope to welcome all of our Year 11 parents/carers and students on the night. The evening will take place on Wednesday 6th December 2023, from 5.30pm – 8.00pm. Please enter the school through the front main entrance and sign in. The sign in session will run from 5.30pm - 5:45pm followed by an introductory presentation in the main school hall at 6.00pm.
Subject presentations will take place between 6.30pm and 8.00pm and there will also be subject stalls on the first floor corridor. There will also be a number of current Sixth Form students at the stalls to offer a student perspective of Sixth Form study at Jesmond Park Academy.
Please note that there will be a second presentation in the hall at 7.00pm for those who are unable to attend the one at 6.00pm.
