Our Careers Fair was just last Friday and I am delighted to inform you that the School was buzzing with activity and interest around careers. It was an amazing event for our students, an opportunity to talk about careers, try on uniform and handle snakes, if they wanted too!! Thirty-five stallholders ranging from education providers to employers and over 1000 young people - attendees from our Year 6 primary feeder schools to our very own Year 13 students.
One of the stallholders commented: “Student behaviour was exceptional throughout. They asked relevant questions and seemed interested in the providers. They have done the school proud!”
All of our National Careers Week Student Champions and Year 7 Careers Fair attendants did a sterling job of meeting and greeting Year 6 students from West Jesmond Primary and Benton Park Primary at the Careers Fair. They looked very smart with their new National Careers Week Student Champion badges and lanyards and represented our school values brilliantly.
