Sports Update

Another busy week last week for our sports teams; again, there were some fantastic results.

Our KS4 Badminton teams represented the school brilliantly at the Newcastle School Games competition, the girls team finished 2nd and the boys team finished 3rd.

In football, the Year 7 girls played another round of their CVL fixtures, losing by a goal to Newcastle High School for girls but beating Gosforth Central 2-0. The Year 8 football team were knocked out of the Northumberland County Cup, however they can be extremely proud of their second half display where they showed what a good, battling team they are!

The U13 girls had their first taste of Futsal at JPA. Both our A and B teams dominated the night, scoring 24 goals apiece over three games each. The only defeat for either team came when they played each other with the B team edging out their A team peers. With two teams qualifying from their group, it is looking promising for both sets of girls.

The excellent start for our Basketball teams continued with the U14 team beating Durham Johnson in their English School group match.

Finally, our Year 10 and Senior netball teams were at it again, beating Sacred Heart 10-7 and 25-1!

Well done and thank you to everyone who represents our school!

Another busy week to come.
