Last week was a very busy one for our sports teams, with some excellent team and individual performances.
The U16 Basketball team beat RGS and Dame Allens in the CVL and English schools cup respectively.
Two U13 boys’ teams represented the school in the city Futsal League for the first time. The A team won 3 and narrowly lost 1.
We had two KS3 teams at the Newcastle School Games Badminton competition, the girls finished in 4th place; the boys were runners up.
Two Year 8 Netball teams played Westfield here at JPA, with both teams winning their games. The Year 10 and senior girls netball teams were also in action against Gosforth Academy, the Year 10 team were beaten, but the seniors won 21 - 13.
Our Year 7 Football teams competed at the City 5-a-side competition, with the girls losing in the final to a last-minute goal. Finally, the U13 girls football team maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a win and a draw in the second round of their CVL fixtures.
