Dear Parent/Carer

‘HOW TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD’ INFORMATION EVENING: VIRTUAL EVENTS

  • Year 8: Wednesday 29 September, 5:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Year 9: Wednesday 29 September, 5:30pm to 6:00pm
  • Year 10: Thursday 30 September, 5:00pm to 5:30pm
  • Year 11: Thursday 30 September, 5:30pm to 6:00pm

We would like to invite you to attend our virtual ‘How to Support Your Child' information evening - the different dates for each year group of which are shown above. Each session will consist of a live TEAMS meeting presented by key senior staff. It will be an opportunity to find out more information about key events throughout the academic year for your child and how you, as parents and carers, can support them with this.

As it is a live presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions in the Q & A function on the TEAMS meeting. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the presentation it will not be possible for parents/carers to access the camera or microphone function. If you have any further questions after the meeting you can, of course, contact your child’s Form Tutor or a member of the Year Team.

We will send out the link to this meeting to your child’s school email address early next week. We will email and text message all parents/carers to inform them that we have done this. Please enter the ‘lobby’ 5 minutes prior to the time the presentation is due to start and we will then let you in at the time stated. We will also record the meeting should you not be available to attend the live presentation.

If you have difficulty accessing your child’s email address please contact the school so that we can help you with this.

In addition to this, we will signpost you to a variety of pre-recorded PowerPoint presentations from core subjects and other information such as supporting your child with independent learning, that we will upload onto our website.

We look forward to ‘seeing you’ virtually at the relevant session for your child.

Yours sincerely
