The overall aim of the day is to get as many people as possible playing and enjoying different sporting activities.  Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 will take part in a carousel:

• • Beachball Volleyball in the sports hall.
  • Tug-of-war on the South field.
  • Bucketball Rounders on the North field.
  • Nerfball on the North Astro

The day is non-uniform.  Students need to wear clothing that is appropriate to take part in sporting activity.  Students have been told which house they are in and have been encouraged to wear their house colours.  We encourage all students to wear appropriate sports clothing in their house colour on the day. The house colours are:

• Eagles - yellow
• Falcons - red
• Magpies - black & white
• Vipers - green

Please don’t feel that you have to go out and buy something specific for sports day.  Just wear what you have.  The order of events are as follows:

Please make sure students bring their planner.  Break and lunch time will be unrestricted movement outside around the school grounds.  (There will be some restrictions in areas where sports are set up).  If possible, please bring a packed lunch.  The dinner hall will be very busy due to everyone having the same lunch time.

As a reward for following the PRAISE Code, the school has decided to buy students an ice cream on Sports Day.  They will receive a voucher on the day to exchange for an ice cream.  Students will not be able to buy ice creams, they can only exchange their voucher at certain times of the day.

The forecast is for warm weather so please remember to wear high factor sunscreen and bring plenty of water to drink.
