Our under sixteen basketball team progressed through to the next stage of the National Schools competition with an 82-60 win over St Peters from Manchester. This was a particularly pleasing win as we were playing a physically much bigger team without two of our key players in Harry R and George. The team came out firing on all cylinders in the first quarter and absolutely dominated thanks to a swarming defence and some very aggressive offence from Joseph and Dennis in particular. Top scorers from this game Joseph 22, Dennis 19, Harry 16 and Leonardo 11.
Next up in the U16’s Firth Park from Sheffield at home on 19th March. In the meantime the boys play up a year group in the 17’s national schools competition against Blue Coats School from Liverpool on 12th March.
